Hyaluronic acid boosters

This page covers the boosters based mainly on hyaluronic acid (HA), plus one collagen preparation. What they share is speed — the change shows as soon as the product is in; they differ in concentration, formulation and the areas they suit.

The four preparations

Revive — hyaluronic acid with glycerol. Glycerol is itself a humectant; the combination targets water content and glow, and the clinic maps it to dryness and lack of radiance.

Restylane Vital Light — a high-concentration, lighter-textured HA for hydrating thin skin and softening fine lines. Thin, show-prone areas such as around the eyes and on the neck usually get this lighter formulation.

Hydro — a basic HA booster for overall hydration, tone and elasticity.

Retigen — high-purity type I collagen. Unlike HA's "hydration", it targets elasticity and moisture retention; the clinic maps it to dull tone.

HA boosters show quickly and fade gradually as the product is metabolised, so they are usually maintained as a course rather than done once.

Typically suited to

  • Dry, dull skin lacking radiance
  • Fine lines and dehydration in thin areas (eyes, neck)
  • Wanting a visible improvement in skin condition within a short time
  • Maintenance between other treatments
  • Restorative programmes for overall elasticity and texture

If the main concern is a compromised barrier and easy redness, Rejuran (polynucleotide) is usually the better starting point.

Procedure and recovery

Topical anaesthetic is usual. Injection produces a pricking sensation, more noticeable around the eyes.

Small papules at injection points usually flatten within one to three days; mild bruising around the eyes is possible. Allow for these days if your trip includes an important occasion.

The effect is usually clear within days and then fades gradually. Intervals and session count are set by the doctor.

Precautions

  • Not suitable if allergic to the preparation — disclose allergies at consultation
  • Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • Postpone during active infection, inflammation or a cold-sore outbreak
  • Mention bleeding disorders or anticoagulant use
  • No make-up for 24 hours; don't rub the injection sites
  • Sun protection and moisturising during recovery

General information only; suitability and contraindications are assessed at consultation.

Pricing

Held as a placeholder in this phase. The clinic's website publishes promotional package prices, which are time-sensitive; we recommend using the statutory non-covered fee schedule (비급여 의료 수가표) in a later phase, presented as a crawlable HTML table. Final pricing is confirmed at consultation.
