THE LIZ CLINIC · 더리즈의원 · Seolleung, Gangnam

From consultation to post-operative care, the same pair of hands takes care of you every step of the way

Closer to your best days than yesterday어제보다 오늘, 더 리즈 시절로

THE LIZ CLINIC is a single-doctor dermatology clinic in front of Seolleung Station, Gangnam. No triage desk, no packages pushed at you — the consultation, the treatment and the follow-up are all done by the same physician.

"We don't recommend what you don't need" is written into the clinic's philosophy

The clinic sums up its approach in one line: only as much as you actually need — but enough (당신에게 꼭 필요한 만큼만, 그러나 충분하게). That isn't a slogan; it is stated on the brand page as an operating principle.

In practice it means two things. First, one-doctor care — from your first consultation through treatment and aftercare, the head doctor is personally responsible. There is no hand-off to a consultant and no change of hands mid-way. Second, appointment-only scheduling: each slot is reserved for one patient, so waiting is kept to a minimum.

It also means that if the doctor judges a treatment to be of little value for you, she will usually say so — rather than do it first and explain later.

Why THE LIZ

One doctor, the same person throughout

Head doctor Kang Ji Hye (강지혜) is a board-certified family medicine specialist. The clinic is currently run under her sole care: consultation, treatment and follow-up are done by the same person — never "one person talks to you, another treats you".

By appointment only

Walk-ins are not accepted. Each time slot is reserved for one booked patient, so consultations aren't rushed and treatments aren't squeezed. It also means you must book ahead — turning up unannounced may mean being turned away.

Directly in front of Seolleung Station, Exit 6

Step out of Exit 6 of Seolleung Station (Line 2) and you're there — 11F Hwanam Tower, 337 Teheran-ro. Easy to fit in while you're in the Gangnam area.

Equipment grouped by skin problem, not stacked for show

Treatments are grouped into device lifting, skin boosters, injectables and skin care. Within each group the devices work at different depths and wavelengths. At consultation the device is chosen for the problem — not one machine for everyone.

Equipment and authenticity

The clinic displays its Ultherapy Prime authorised-provider certification on the premises. For ultrasound and radiofrequency treatments — where genuine handpieces and transducers matter — a few minutes confirming the equipment at consultation is time well spent. The Visitor Guide explains what to ask.

FAQ

Before you travel, you may be wondering

01How many days should I allow for a first visit?

It depends on the treatment. Radiofrequency, botulinum toxin and needle-free boosters take almost no time; Ultherapy and Thermage settle within days; ablative treatments such as Pearl need 5–7 days and don't fit a two- or three-day trip. How many days to allow

02Is there English or Chinese support on site?

Confirm when you book. The multilingual toggle on the clinic's website is a browser translation widget, not a dedicated interpreter; history and allergy details shouldn't rely on a translation app. Language

03Ultherapy or Thermage — how do I choose?

Their working layers don't overlap — Ultherapy works at the fascial layer, Thermage from epidermis to dermis. The clinic's own plan pairs them as two axes; it isn't either/or. Five lifting devices compared

04Can I fly the same day as treatment?

It depends. Short-recovery treatments are usually fine; swelling after injectables may feel worse in the cabin; ablative treatments shouldn't be followed by a long flight at peak crusting. Tell the doctor your itinerary. FAQ
