About THE LIZ CLINIC
"어제보다 오늘, 더 리즈 시절로" — closer to your best days than yesterday. 리즈시절 ("Liz days") is Korean slang for the period when someone is at their most radiant. It is also where the clinic's name comes from.

A dermatology clinic run by one doctor
THE LIZ CLINIC (Korean 더리즈의원; also styled THE liz Dermatology) is on the 11th floor of Hwanam Tower, 337 Teheran-ro, Gangnam-gu, Seoul — directly in front of Exit 6 of Seolleung Station.
It is a small clinic, and deliberately so. It describes its model as one-doctor care: from the first consultation through treatment and aftercare, the head doctor is personally responsible throughout. The clinic's own words: 「당신의 피부를 끝까지 같은 마음과 손길로 지켜주는 곳」 — a place where the same mind and the same hands look after your skin from start to finish.
This isn't the norm in Gangnam's aesthetic market. Larger clinics typically have consultants handle intake and doctors handle treatment, with the two separated. THE LIZ has chosen the other route: fewer patients per day, but no gap between the judgement and the execution.
"We don't recommend what you don't need"
The brand page states it bluntly: 불필요한 과잉 진료는 배제하고 — unnecessary over-treatment is ruled out. Expanded: 「불필요한 과잉을 권하지 않습니다. 당신에게 꼭 필요한 만큼만, 그러나 충분하게.」 (We don't recommend what isn't needed. Only as much as you actually need — but enough.)
Taken at face value, it means you may well hear "you don't need this one" at consultation. For anyone used to being sold a package, that is not a bad thing.
The clinic describes its identity as 우아한 집중의 진료 — roughly, elegant and attentive treatment. In practice that means splitting the day into reserved slots and keeping numbers low so that every consultation has enough time.
The quotations above are translations of the clinic's official wording. Descriptions of treatment effects on this site are deliberately restrained — aesthetic medicine has real limits and individual variation, and the doctor will say the same at consultation.
Scope of treatment
The clinic does not perform surgery. Treatment is concentrated in four areas:
Device lifting — facial laxity, a softening jawline, wrinkles. Built on two axes, Ultherapy Prime (micro-focused ultrasound) and Thermage FLX (monopolar radiofrequency), with Shurink Universe, Volnewmer and Virtue RF alongside.
Skin boosters — Rejuran (polynucleotide), Revive and Restylane Vital Light (hyaluronic acid), Retigen (collagen) and CureJet needle-free infusion.
Injectables — Restylane and Belotero hyaluronic acid filler, botulinum toxin, and collagen stimulators such as Sculptra, Radiesse and Juvelook.
Skin care — pigment and redness (Revlite, Fotona StarWalker, Cutera Genesis, Vbeam Perfecta), acne and scars (Gold PTT, Pearl, Pearl Fractional), with LDM and Aqua Peel in support.
About the word "의원"
One thing worth knowing before you travel: Korean clinic names distinguish between 의원 (a clinic) and 피부과 전문의 (a dermatology-specialist clinic). The former does not specify the head doctor's specialty; the latter indicates a board-certified dermatologist.
THE LIZ CLINIC is the former. Head doctor Kang Ji Hye is a board-certified family medicine specialist, and a full member of several societies including the Korean Society for Laser, Dermatology and Trichology and the Korean Society of Anti-Aging Medicine. For energy-based treatments, injectables and routine skin management, that is an appropriate background.
If, however, your concern is complex dermatological disease — stubborn dermatitis, complicated scar pathology — a dermatology-specialist clinic is the better first port of call. That isn't a criticism of this clinic; it's ordinary common sense about matching the problem to the specialty.
