A note on the name

Its place in the plan

As a monopolar RF device, Volnewmer works on the same principle as Thermage FLX, but the clinic assigns it a slightly different role. The website puts Thermage FLX at the core as one of the "two axes", and describes Volnewmer as 「전반적인 탄력•결 회복 프로그램에 활용」 — used in restorative programmes for overall elasticity and texture.

In other words it appears more often in general, cyclical skin-condition management than as the workhorse for a one-off intensive lift. How it is scheduled depends on baseline skin condition and treatment history.

RF treatments share the advantages of short recovery and a gentle sensation, which suits regular maintenance.

• General loss of elasticity without marked localised sagging
• Lax texture and insufficient skin density
• Regular maintenance rather than a single intensive intervention
• A thin facial fat layer, unsuited to deep focused energy
• Sensitivity to treatment discomfort

Procedure and recovery

Mainly a sensation of warmth; well tolerated by most people. The device typically cools the epidermis during energy delivery.

Brief redness and warmth afterwards usually settle the same or next day. Most people carry on as normal.

Results are gradual and usually built up over a course.

Precautions

• Not suitable if you have an implanted electronic device such as a pacemaker or defibrillator
• Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding
• Tell the doctor about metal implants in the treatment area
• Postpone if there is active inflammation or infection
• Sun protection and hydration afterwards
