Hyaluronic acid filler

Hyaluronic acid occurs naturally in the body; aesthetic fillers use a cross-linked form to provide volume support beneath the skin. Its adjustability is a major advantage — if necessary it can be dissolved with hyaluronidase.

The products the clinic uses

Restylane — described by the clinic as 「자연스러운 볼륨•윤곽 보정」, natural volume and contour correction. A widely used range; different formulations vary in cross-linking and support, matched to different areas.

Belotero — noted as 「얇은부위•목주름 특화」: for thin areas and neck lines. This type spreads well and integrates closely with tissue, suiting thin-skinned regions where product can otherwise show.

Hyalase (hyaluronidase) — listed as 「불필요 필러 용해, 안전관리」: dissolving unwanted filler and safety management. Its presence matters; see the next section.

Common treatment areas

Different areas need different levels of support.

Mid-face — volume replacement in the cheek, often for hollowing and deepening nasolabial folds from volume loss.

Tear troughs and around the eyes — thin skin with high demands on product choice and injection plane; technically harder and more prone to showing.

Lips — shape and fullness, with a high bar for looking natural.

Neck lines — the clinic maps Belotero and Radiesse here.

Contour details — small adjustments to the chin, nasal base and similar.

Dosing is usually in millilitres (cc). Confirming brand, formulation and volume is far more meaningful than a headline price.

Risk — please read this section carefully

Filler is an injectable treatment with risks that deserve to be taken seriously. The one to be most alert to is vascular occlusion — filler entering a blood vessel can cause local tissue ischaemia and necrosis, and in the glabella, nose and periorbital area there is a risk to vision. Rare, but serious, and the window for treatment is short.

Risk reduction rests on three things: the injector's knowledge of facial vascular anatomy, sound technique, and whether the clinic stocks hyaluronidase and is prepared to act in an emergency. THE LIZ lists Hyalase on its website; you can confirm it at consultation.

Seek immediate medical attention — don't wait and see — if you notice: unusual, severe pain after injection; a change in skin colour (blanching, mottling or a purplish tint); blurred vision or loss of visual field; a severe headache. These need urgent treatment.

Procedure and recovery

Topical anaesthetic is usual, and some products contain a local anaesthetic. Sensation varies by area.

Brief swelling afterwards is common and usually settles within days. Bruising is also common, especially around the eyes and lips, and usually clears within one to two weeks.

The immediate result isn't the final one — swelling needs to settle, so assessment is usually made at about two weeks. Factor this into your travel plans.

Precautions

  • Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • Postpone if there is active infection or inflammation at the site
  • Tell the doctor about autoimmune conditions or allergy to filler components
  • Disclose any previous non-dissolvable filler in the same area
  • Mention anticoagulant use — bruising risk rises
  • Avoid pressing or rubbing the area and avoid heat for a short period afterwards
  • Contact a medical provider immediately for unusual pain, skin colour change or visual change

Please remember the last point. The time window for treating an abnormal reaction is critical — do not wait.

Pricing

Held as a placeholder in this phase. The clinic's website publishes promotional package prices, which are time-sensitive; we recommend using the statutory non-covered fee schedule (비급여 의료 수가표) in a later phase, presented as a crawlable HTML table. Final pricing is confirmed at consultation.
